The Sports Education Leadership Foundation, The S.E.L.F. Project, has conducted their “Practice, Play, Pass It On” basketball clinic at the Expo Center near downtown Los Angeles and in South Los Angeles. These clinics provided a way for players to give back and provide a space for younger, underserved players to learn and grow in the game of basketball.
Metta World Peace (formerly known as Ron Artest and played for the Los Angeles Lakers) held a basketball clinic in the Pacific Palisades and all proceeds were donated to The S.E.L.F. Project.
The Sports Education Leadership Foundation teamed youth from the Pacific Palisades, the valley, Westwood, West Hollywood, and South Los Angeles to lend their services on a brisk Thanksgiving morning to help the less fortunate in Santa Monica. They folded and arranged donated clothing and shoes and hung jackets and coats on hangers.
